La Motte d'Aigues (EN)

The small Provençal village of La Motte d'Aigues is situated in the foothills of the Luberon and surrounded by vines, olive trees and rambling countryside. During the summer months the village has its own night market every Thursday evening where you can eat and drink local produce under the cherry trees, just 2 mins. walk away from the Auberge de la Cour. We are fortunate enough to have a local boulangerie where every morning Jill buys the fresh bread and croissants for your breakfast. Local amenities also include a bar/pizza café, post office, school, doctors and two churches.

Whether you are coming for business or pleasure we will make every effort to make your stay with us comfortable and enjoyable. We can tell you where the markets are each day, help you to plan your excursions, walks in the nearby mountains of the Luberon and even pack a picnic lunch for you. The area is perfect for all levels of cyclist and there is also the lake - L'Etang de la Bonde - which is wonderful for swimming in the warmer months. If you would like to visit the local area we can provide information and local maps when and where necessary.
